You are a fellow member of the elite fighting unit, Army Ranger. Deployed into Somalia for operation Task Force Ranger, you take part in the events leading up to the historic firefight of October 3, 1993. Many military experts refer to these events as “the most intense and prolonged firefight involving American forces since the Vietnam War”. Run day and night missions including the shelter of shipments, defending HQ from mortar attacks, arresting key officials, rescuing hostages, and demolishing key enemy facilities.
You are the commanding officer of a squad of Army Rangers, the highly trained special operations strength of the United States military. Deployed into Somalia for operation Task Force Ranger, you take portion in the events leading up to the historic firefight of October 3, 1993. Many military experts refer to these events as “the most intense and prolonged firefight involving American forces since the Vietnam War.”
Command your Army Rangers for the duration of direct-action operations including the shelter of shipments, defending HQ from mortar attacks, arresting key officials, rescuing hostages, and destructing key-enemy facilities.

- In-game mission map: with waypoints to support players finish mission goals intended to be attained

 Very Short and Disappointing

Only 2-1/2 stars on this one. This could have been a better game though somewhat challenging and enjoyable. Very short gameplay, and would rate this $5.00 max.

Why bother?

Rather boring game play. After playing games like “far cry” why bother with this one. The graphics, while requiring more than a 64mb videocard and run with my 256mb ATI card still suck. Boring and predictable. When firing the weapons it is like shooting a popgun even through my Bose audio system. Speaking of weapons; what is up with the 3 round burst on the m16? Nothing to write home regarding with this one. I like TaskForce 121 much better.
