Great light with proper installation
By Decidion
These are numerous great lights and offer a number of vantages over regular bulb rock lights. The power draw is low sufficient you may leave them on all night without worry, and they don’t get hot or need any heavy wiring. They are small, may be installed in a heap of places beneath your rig, and come with a very handy remote (I use this almost exclusively). The light is bright sufficient to give good illumination, but not bright sufficient to blind you unless you look directly into them.
The one caveat is that, while water resistant, they are not waterproof. If dirty water gets in amid the plastic lense and the LEDs (if your are doing a muddy water crossing for example), when it dries it will leave a dirty film that will build up and ultimately reduce the light output.
The way to get around this is to seal the back of the light to whatsoever you are mounting them on with a waterproof silicone or butyl (I used Lexel). In addition, I built a set of metal brackets to mount the lights on and then bolted the brackets to the undersurface of my rig. This allows me to remove the lights (when working on my truck) or reposition them without breaking the waterproof seal of the silicone.
I’d give the conception 5 stars, implementation 3 stars, cost 5 stars, overall 4.3 stars.

Rock lights with personality
By azfansinnc
I purchased these lights after numerous reviews on 4×4 forums. They do precisely what I wanted them for, rock lights with a twist. As rock lights, they put out a good amount of light and draw little power. I hardwired the cig lighter connection since I wanted a permanent installation. The pods are not waterproof so you will have to silicone around the wire to keep water from getting in. The double sided tape that is included is sufficient to mount the lights to a clean surface. The screws are a pain.
I commend these lights for the price. They put out sufficient light for severe off road use but are not as fragile or blindingly bright as the more mutual 55w spots that a heap of use.
The strobe effects are a bonus and concede some silliness.

Great lights
By M. Riggs
The lights look and work great, the only complaint I have are the enclosed screws. Do yourself a favor and buy new ones. These are too soft, either break or round off. The lights and functions are awesome
