    2A little dissapointed

    After much debate and galore positive feedback I pulled the trigger and purchased the Luminox 8151. The watch is large, but was comfortable on the wrist. The primary quality was impressive and the watch in truth looks better in person than in does in pictures. However, I had similar issues as other reviewers. The chrono reset feature did not work as advertised. It took various attempts to get the 1/10 hand to even reset. Even after multiple resets the “second hand” and the 1/10 hand would not center. As the second hand moved around the dial it did not line up with the marks on the side. It was half way in between. Some may not have an issue with this, but to me it’s a more prominent sign of what I might be in for in the future. Overall, outstanding looking watch, but for this price the watch ought to have been perfective right out of the box. This is unquestionably a quality control issue…

    5Luminox “Ultimate Seal” 8151 sets a new high frequent in tritium Professional Diver.

    For those who did not read the review I did of my introductory “Ultimate Seal” model 8251 and 8352, I will recap numerous of the new features of the Luminox EVO “Ultimate Seal” collection……. (My 8352 was substituted and I liked the “Ultimate Seal” EVO Chronograph so much, I substituted it with the 8152 all bright satin/brushed steel……more blingy and I love it)
    The “Evo Ultimate” series has come a long way from the basi plastic Luminox I do not forget years back. I cannot believe it is the same company and it isn’t (kind of). The “EVO” stands for evolution and marks the new merchandise from Luminox since the merger with the Mondaine Watch Ltd Swiss company. This is a big step for Luminox taking their watches more upscale. (Pricier $$ but better)
    No gratuitous military logos throughout the face. A honorable to goodness professional rugged tritium timepiece. The watch is very solidly built out of stainless steel with splendid machining details over the entire watch.

    2TOO BAD NOBODY IS CHECKING BEFORE SHIPPING

    I was very excessively affected emotionally when I ultimately received yesterday the watch I ordered. It looked precisely the way I expected, outstanding !!
    Unfortunately, excitement fell quickly as as soon I undertake the chronometer I figured out that the little dial counting minutes and hours (by 9 O’clock on the watch) plainly doesn’t function !!!
    It’s just unbelievable that a watch of such price is not even checked for 2 minutes before been sold and shipped !!
    Now, I have to send it back without wearing it even one day. I would love to have another one but I’m a bit affrighted that the quality is not up to the look and price.
