It does it is job.

This is a pretty simple piece of hardware. You screw it into the light socket, and screw the light bulb into it. It makes it so I may put a compact fluorescent bulb in a lamp that it other than as supposed or expected wouldn’t fit into. Another reviewer brought up that it may not have CSA approval, so I looked… It doesn’t appear to have UW approval either. But so far it hasn’t exploded or spontaneously caught on fire, so I’m happy with the product.

Now, if only they’d make a CFL bulb that didn’t have such a big base and wasn’t so tall…

I am pleased with these socket extenders. However, I have learned they may not have CSA approval (Canadian)so am looking into that.
