 One mean mofo…

Whoever said “Never fetch a knife to a gun fight” evidently never carried one of these bad boys. This knife is just plain mean. The remainder is awesome. The blade is shaving sharp (literally, there’s a bald spot on my arm). Most would say it’s an all around knife. However, after playing with it and toting it around on a few backpacking ventures, I would say it’s more of a defensive/tactical blade. Sure, the knife gnaw it’s reasonable share of wood (I’ve used it on vines, sectionalizations and little trees), but it hungers for substances such as leather, coarse rubber (tires?), canvas, thick ropes and webbing, flesh, etc. My ONLY gripe is in the handle. Although it’s tough, the diamond design grades up the palm of your hand gorgeous good. As for the sheath, I just went with the regular kydex version and it has done me well so far. Good retention, just do not forget it won’t hold the blade in with out the button strap (I kept it up side down unbuttoned and it slid out and bit me. I have a scar on my palm to remind to to never do that again).

High quality product, deliverance on time

SOG knives are in general great, the SEAL Team knife I recieved was superb. I had ordered it as a gift for a co-worker who is leaving. She is a dive instructor, hiker, and camper ao I wanted to get her a good quality knife that could handle difficult demands. I was so impressed with the knife that came in I ordered one for myself, sufficient said. Both orders were on time with no problems.

One of the best knives on the market

The SOG Seal Team Elite was my basi SOG knife and In 1 day SOG had exclusively earned my trust and respect as a top knife company.
Pros:
Titanium Nitride (TiNi) coating makes the stainless steel even more waterproof
Extreme heat treatment for the blade
Hard water immune sheath
Exposed tang at the bottom of the blade that makes a utile strike for firesteels or hammer
Ribbed back utile for notching
Ribbed back bites into thumbs well and makes outstanding jimping
Ultra lasting Zytel handle
Extremely huge cutting surface
Sharp serrations that cut with ease
Weighted perfectly
Cons:
Price, this knife was closely 2x more pricey than my Kabar
The serrations are a little long
The handle is rough on your hands for normal people, but I love the extra traction
Although I don’t know how lasting this knife is, I may say that this is a great knife and I’d gladly take it with me to all corners of the earth.
